Nature's Clocks ~ Circles and Cycles of Time
Clocks Circles Cycles Rings Patterns of Time
This 24+ inch diameter red pine tree lay by the side of the road and called me to stop and take a portrait. I have yet to count the rings… circles of years.
I thought it seemed to be weeping in Spring Sunlight – Sparkling sap streaming down it’s face. I was on my way to the beach, to celebrate spring, to look for stones with which to build and play.
I felt sad with this tree, cut to widen an already beautiful winding dirt road through the woods, for tourists to drive to more beautiful places… and I wondered, was this tree really in the way? It had not seemed to be before… and yet what is the worth of one tree to travellers? Will anyone else miss it and several of its neighbors cut down nearby?
So I celebrate this tree by the side of the road. I imagine it cut into lengths of 2 x 4’s to build a home somewhere for a family. I imagine it sheltering them and keeping them warm. I celebrate its beauty, its sparkle, its years.
I guess it is called progress… and as we approach Easter and Earth Day and celebrate Spring, I wonder… if future generations will know such magnificent trees and be grateful to those who honored them?
I give this tree thanks, I celebrate this tree… I offer it’s spirit Sparkling sunrises, water and stones in it’s next cycle of life.
I am grateful to live on such an awesome planet, and to know trees such as this.
Reminded me of Fly Like an Eagle by the Steve Miller Band ~Time Keeps on Slippin’ ~ May you be blessed by the Spirits of Place where you live.

P.S. I realized that I mis-typed Post-a-Day 2001 in the title. I kind like Post-A-Say… don’t you? LOL!

I have a secret – I love to share!
I love to share Laughter and Joy!… and Silliness and Play… (You probably already knew that LOL!)
I love to share my work, my ideas, my friends, my toys and “my” resources! SARK is my most favorite, lovable, welcoming friendly resource – and I cannot keep Susan (aka SARK) or her programs and books a secret any longer. She is a wonderful mentor and friend. I love learning in fun ways and have fun doing it – even the tuff stuff. I love having fun with people. Susan brings out the best in me and others!
So if you want to check out one of my “secrets” to success and have some fun, click on the image below to meet Susan to read and hear more.
For me, Dream Boogie produces prodigious results, deLIGHTFILLED Dancing, Daring dreaming, and Fiestas of Fun. Dream Boogie is an 8 week online course, including beautiful pages of OWNwork (not homework), weekly Teleseminars where connecting in small groups is serendipitously synchronistically magical, inspiring downloads, insightful excercises offering fabulous support and deep connections with other creative and productive creative beings… including yourself… like connecting your right brain with your left brain. LOL! and DUH!… and if you miss a call, you can re-listen anytime… I LOVE listening to the calls – (Sometimes I even get to hear my own voice being brilliant – reading a poem or inspiring others…LOLOLOL!)
Why haven’t I shared this before? Haven’t been able to figure out some of the technology for posting in this blog. I want to be able to post text in color. I want to be able to share stuff like this within this narrow box… Maybe the box is too small? I wanted to share it with artwork and colorful banners… balloons and music and celebrations – and technologically I still don’t know quite the best way to do that. So here it is – imperfectly perfect… LOL!
Maybe it’s time for a new theme? Maybe ask for some help from TNT?
Could be… Last week I got New Wings – so anything is possible!
May your day be filled with Magic and Miracles. Mine is and will continue to be…

Snowing blowing freezing
Full moon teasing
Through crystallized clouds
In spires of snow laden pines
Cathedral in the woods
At times too tired to be inspired
Except by moon or stars or trees
with snowy frosting reaching
up to sky like these
Though tired, weary to the bone
Greeted warmly by woods, at home
too tired to answer any phone
Yet the words go on the page
imperfect for this tired age
a promise kept to me.
Inspired, In Spirit, in keeping with my word.
I wish you could see these tall tall pines, deeply rooted, buried in snow, reaching for the sky… The wind will clear them soon enough, shake them good and lick the frosting off in a whoosh.
Enjoy the Full Moon! May you soak in that energy, bathe in the full moonlght, breathe it in… then give it back into the world with kindness, love, peace, and gratitude.
